Sylvester Stallone has become an action movie icon. For nearly four decades, he has played the leading man in a string of commercially successful films, including Rocky, Rambo, and Creed. He is also a credited writer, director, producer, and actor. Throughout his career, he has been nominated for more than 70 awards.

Born in New York City, Sylvester Stallone moved to Maryland with his family when he was five years old. As a young boy, he studied at the University of Miami and the American College of Switzerland. In 1976, Sylvester Stallone gained fame as the leading man in the cult classic Rocky. After several sequels, he reprised his role in many of the subsequent films, including the fifth installment, Rocky IV.
